Believe!

Hello and welcome to my first post for Creative Knockouts in 2 months.  On October 22 my youngest two kids and I were in a very serious vehicle accident. I would like to say thank you so much to Kelly for giving me time to heal and you have been just amazing. Thank you to all of the DT's for the wonderful Get Well cards they cheered me up and were amazing creations. Looking at them has helped me each day.  Merry belated Christmas everyone and Happy Boxing Day!

Challenge # 17 is Anything Goes! Since I am just starting back at card making with help from my family and friends, my cards are pretty simple in design.  My image for this card is by Bugaboo and is called Scene It Angels Believe, they are also our wonderful sponsors this week..  The image is just adorable.

I chose to use just yellow and white.  On the image all of the stars are colored yellow as well as their elastic bands and clothes.  Everything else is black and white.  I used two embossing folders and some dazzling diamonds on their wings to give a little more pop. It was fun to use my distressing tool although I totally broke out in a sweet doing it...LOL.

We would love to see you come and play at Creative Knockouts!

Have a great Day!  Thank you for popping over for a look!

Stella....Needs Another Drink!

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!! I do hope that this holiday season is allowing you time to spend with family, that your hearts are filled with love, joy, lot's of laughter and most of all some much needed down time.  We are very blessed this year with wonderful family and friends! Thank you for being in our lives.

There is a new Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and our hostess this week is our one and only Lori.  For Challenge #174 she is going Tropical.  I think with the amount of snow we have that oh boy would it be fun for a tropical vacation!

So for my card below I used Stella and it is from Totally Stampalicous.  I used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White paper.  I know it isn't the bubbly bright colors of my fellow DT's but here is the reason I chose these colors.  We went to Mexico 5 just about 6 years ago.  My skin at one point was real red, my cloths were either black or white, with a little bit of red. So that is why I chose these colors.  We were at an all inclusive and it was to say, "I do believe I would like another drink"....LOL.  Especially the Strawberry daiquiris.  Hence why Stella and the drink came to mind...hee hee.

I would like to enter my card into Make It Monday #171- Anything Goes,
We would love it if you had some time to join us this week.  I am looking forward to seeing all of your creations each week.  To see more inspiration from the Chicks please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.
Thank you for stopping by.

Distressing and Happy Birthday!

Good Morning! I can hardly believe that we are less than a week a way from Christmas.  How the heck did that happen?  Wasn't it just September or something?  For the first time ever we are not done our Christmas shopping, well to tell you the truth we haven't even started yet....LOL. The plus side is my wonderful family put the tree up on Sunday! It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas.  It seems weird that last night I went to my very final elementary Christmas concert, it is a bitter sweet one.  It means my daughter is growing up but oh how sweet it is to see her so confident up on stage.

Our Chick Leanne is celebrating her birthday on Saturday, so I just want to throw out a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our very talented friend.  On to our new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks which I am very happy to be hosting.  With so much stress around this time of year I thought it would be fun to make Challenge #173 to do with DISTRESSING.

I am proud to say the card below is my first card I have made in almost 2 months(because of our accident).  It took me all day to make but the cool part is I got ink on my fingers and actually put an idea together.  I sure have missed being crafty. My mom came over to help me and was able to give me the things I couldn't reach in my craft room. Without her help there wouldn't have been a finished card.  This is the first time my mom and I have sort of crafted together in my new craft room. Thanks mom.
 Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Harmony, Warmest Regards (Stampin Up)
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Season of Style Designer Series.
Ink: Early Espresso, and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Pearls, Twine, cherry cobbler button, scallop punch, Deco Label Framelits, glue dots, daubers, glue pen and dazzling diamonds.

I would like to enter my card into Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

We hope that during this busy time you will be able to find a little crafty time and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  What does Distressing inspire in you? Looking for inspiration from Bonnie, Leanne, Lori and our GDT (Tammy)...hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! May it be one that provides you with tons of love, laughter, joy, peace and relaxation.

Thank you so much for popping in!

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #172

Good morning! We have full blown winter here but it isn't even officially winter yet! We are expecting even more snow today and -28 temperatures. Today is my second time at physio.  Sore, tired muscles, and a tired brain I will have this morning. This morning I am off to Physiotherapy for the second time, so a nap will be in order when I get home.

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks we are on challenge #172 and she is asking us to do something with Food and/or Drink or both.  It can be anything in your stash just as long as we can see it.  I think this is a fantastic challenge!

My card this week is made by Lori.  When she was visiting me yesterday she let me pick this cute image out of her new There She Goes Stamps.  With this image we were lucky enough to have both Food & Drink. Isn't she just cute!  Lori made me this card so I would have a creation for you this week.  Thank you mom, Leanne and Lori for helping me out so much with my blog.
I would love to see your creations this week.  It is always fun come to visit your blogs!  Looking for more fabulous inspirations then hope on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.  You won't be disappointed.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Yummy Color Combo at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Morning! We sure did have a blustery weekend and start to the week with snow and wind.  On the plus side it was awesome that my sister and her son came home for a short visit.  The best part is the day they were supposed to leave her flight was cancelled due to weather.  So for the first time in many, many years we got to spend part of her birthday with her.  I kept telling her Welcome back to Alberta, but when she did get home it was actually snowing in Victoria...LOL. Guess we shared the love....LOL. Enough of my babbling.

Thank you to everyone who played last week all of the creations were just phenomenal. Our wonderful Challenge hostess this week is none other than our Leanne from Banking on Crafts.  Leanne is challenging us to use this color combo. If you don't have the exact papers listed then please try to get as close to the colors as you can.
We welcome our new Guest Designer Tammy from Creatively Me.Tammy is with us for the month of December.

My card today is made by Leanne with my ideas. A very long distance collaboration of sorts....LOL.  Thank you Leanne for helping me out so I could have a card on here for our challenge. I am very grateful. It is a very clean and simple card, only two layers, with some texture, ribbon, bling and stamped snowflakes.

We would love to see you at  4 Crafty Chicks, and I would love to come to visit you.

Thank you for stopping by. Have an amazing week!
