Mother and Son time!

Today is Friday! My kids have a PD Day today and it has been a busy one already. I went to Bible Study, came home went to town with my hubby and daughter to get a new fan for above my stove. My son Tristan was out all morning helping with our Town's Trick or Treating event for the younger kids (the businesses get involved with this).

Tristan is not what he would call a crafty kid. I made his girlfriend a card but told him that he could create his own card for her. That she would appreciate it more. He asked me for my help, so it was some very awesome Mother and son time. Now this was my design, but he put it together, embossed, stamped and used the punches. As we were making the card he was joking with me that this was not a simple card. What do you think, is it simple?

Here is hoping that Nicole likes the card he created for her. It was sure nice to spend sometime getting crafty with my oldest.

He thinks his card is good enough to be entered into some challenges and I happen to agree so these are the fabby ones we are entering it into.

Bring on a New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good Morning all! Can you believe we are only 4 days away from Halloween? Where has the month of October went? Well since it went so fast this week I jumped right to Christmas...LOL. I have a few of my presents bought already and that has made me feel good. For the last few weeks I have sure enjoyed seeing all of the Halloween creation out there. I don't make many but just absolutely love seeing what everyone else makes.

Now that it is Thursday you know what that means. We have another fun, fantastic and well rockin challenge for you over at 4 Crafty Chicks. Our hostess with the mostess this week is Lori! She has kept it simple for us with such a busy week ahead. Are you ready?

CHALLENGE #61 - PAPER PIERCING
FUN, FUN, FUN

Christmas cards are still my challenge and well right now I am failing miserably at getting them done. For the first time in a long time I have considered making just one type of card and changing the colors or two cards and mass producing them...LOL. We will see. I do think it is time for me to go back to the clean and simple look, it just might be faster...LOL.

I love using my paper piercer and so when Lori issued us this challenge I was over the moon. Easy peazy...LOL. So here is my next Christmas card. I think the new Snowburst embossing folder from Stampin Up sure packs a punch in dimension. I used Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White colors. The stamp sets are Riveting and Delightful Decorations. Of course you can see I got really happy with my Paper Piercing. My son Robin thought that I should turn the back panel underneath the ornament to help with the effect. Thanks Robin, you were right!

Leanne, Lori and Melissa have made wonderful cards this week (as with every week). Be sure to stop bye there blogs and share some love. Also check out our Guest Designer: Christy Dillman. It is Christy last week and oh has she made a pretty card. Thanks Christy it was so much fun to have you this month and oh your inspiring cards made us all drool :) .

Color Combo #76 and Big News at PPC!

Good Morning to everyone! It is Monday morning and with it brings us to another challenge from Picture Perfect Creations. So we are onto Challenge #76 and Megan has a wonderful color combo to challenge us. The colors are Not Quite Navy, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Pretty in Pink.

Now it is with a heavy heart that we have some BIG NEWS at PPC but also one that is sooooo looking forward to the future of Picture Perfect Creations. Here is a little bit of what Megan said:

As of tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 24th, PPC-CC #76 will be our last blog challenge, until further notice. We do have some HIGH expectations to PPC and the future, but at this time it is so very hard for us to stay on track with posts, the DT, crafting, etc. And it is not fair to the rest of you! The DT and I are hoping to bring the challenge blog back come the new year and bring it in with a BANG. I think with a couple months off, some brainstorming, new ideas and challenges is what PPC needs. But until then, we'll just have a little vacation from it all. Besides, it is that time of year where the Holidays approach extremely fast and we have just NO time to do anything. :) Please check out our challenge blog for the full note from Megan but here is some of it!

We hope you really enjoy playing with us for our final Challenge for a while. I want to also thank everyone who has taken the time to play with us at PPC and for all of the inspiration you have shared. Without you it would never be possible. I am also grateful for all of the wonderful DT's, that I have met over the last year and a half. YOU ALL ROCK!! Thank Megan for everything and I can't wait to come back with a BANG!

Now I must admit that these colors threw me a little but then I started thinking about this cute stamp my mom gave me for my birthday. It is a Gillian Roberts stamp and oh did I ever have fun coloring it. My card has a big bright spot on it and well frankly I couldn't work my camera good enough to not have it...so sorry about that. After putting everything together, the thought occurred to me that just maybe this stamp was too old for a baby card but maybe I was thinking to there future...LOL...LOL. You can't see it well but the Pretty In Pink is embossing with my new favorite embossing folder (Stripes from SU).

For the last few days my computer network has been giving me a hard time. It took me forever to upload this picture to my computer, so hopefully my DH will have it fixed soon...LOL. We went the the 37th Annual Pumpkin Ball on Saturday and we came home with only two pumpkins this year. One of them was The Royal Kate (in a wedding dress). It is very cute, hopefully I can get it one here soon. Enough of my rambling this morning come play:)

Please take some time to grab a cup of java, some music or whatever helps you create and come and join us at PPC. We would love to come and see your blogs and what these colors inspired in you. Linda, Leanne, Michele F, Michele K and Lori have created some really awesome cards with this color combo!

Marker It Up with 4 Crafty Chicks.

Who doesn't love to color? Well my oldest son and hubby don't but the rest of us, love it. My middle son Robin does some amazing graffiti art and my daughter is always coloring up a storm. Ever since I was little coloring made me happy and brought me comfort when I was upset. This week it is my turn to be hostess for 4 Crafty Chicks and don't worry I am not upset, i love to color for fun... :). Can you believe we are on our 60th Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks. Yahoooo! Congrat's chickie's you all rock.

CHALLENGE #60 - MARKER IT UP!

So for over a year now I have admired the Kenny K stamps but I finally got my first one. Before I have been lucky enough to borrow my friends when having stamping days but now I have one of my very own. Oh man was she so much fun to color and for the first time I colored with only Copic Markers (oh there are so many more to get *giggle*). There is so much to learn with these markers and hopefully one day I will be able to color some really amazing images.

This card was made for my son's girlfriends birthday today. She is an awesome girl and is one who appreciates anything homemade. Here is hoping she loves this Kenny K and the colors.

The colors I used are old olive, more mustard, cajun craze, early espresso, and whisper white. Instead of ribbon I used twine (early espresso and white) and two punches from Stampin Up and pewter pearls.

Leanne, Lori and Melissa have made wonderful cards this week (as with every week). Be sure to stop bye there blogs and share some love. Also check out our Guest Designer: Christy Dillman.

Speciatly Challenge #11 at PPC

Good Morning! Well this morning I am truly running a little late for posting but I have my DH and my wonderful kids out the door for work and school. What a crazy weekend but oh was it a fun one. Friday and Saturday my boys played in a volleyball tournament. They played hard and pulled themselves together after a few rule changes. I am so proud of them. My daughter got measure for her first Rhythmic Gymnastic costume and had a birthday party (which she loved). Enough about my weekend and onto why you really stopped bye.

Picture Perfect Creations
is onto a new Specialty Challenge #11 this week. Megan has given us a yummy theme. You can create something FALL or Halloween theme.

So on this card I broke out my other favorite tree stamp from Stampin Up. When shopping with my wonderful friend Lori we both picked up this pad of 6x6 pattern paper, that has rich and warm colors in it. I opened it up and used just a little bit of it...LOL.

I used the colors, early espresso, cajun craze, and more mustard and some pattern paper from a 6x6 pad of paper. A photo corner punch, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4 inch circle, label and one more punch?? (SU) and a punch from Martha Stewart. I used early espresso ribbon too. So the ribbon was to have a bow but when having a talk with Robin, I got glue happy and forgot to leave a space for it...LOL.

I am entering my card into the following challenges. All of the DT creations are very inspiring.

Paper Sundaes - Halloween or Fall
Cute Card Thursday - Tree-mendous
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

What does your Monday hold for you? Today I am going to finish up my laundry, and get caught up on my cards (so candles, music and a good cup of hot chocolate is in order). First in order I must get my breakfast and the laundry turned over.

Please stop bye and show us at Picture Perfect Creations what you this theme inspires in you! We love coming to see your blogs and enjoy just sharing in your creativity. So grab a cup of java and take some time for you during your busy week to create something fabulous.

Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.

Bring on the Color at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Hey, Hey, Hey do you know what today is? It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. Who is our hostess this week? It is the one and only Melissa and she is bringing us Challenge #59. Melissa is bringing us a color challenge. The colors are Old Olive, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Rose Red. Remember if you don't have the exact colors that is okay, try and get them as close as you can.

Here is what I came up with for these fabby colors. I am totally just loving the new stripes embossing folder from Stampin Up. The flowers were bought sometimes in June and this was the perfect time to break them out. I didn't go bold with my image (simply said by Stampin Up) but I think it still works.

Leanne, Lori and Melissa have made wonderful cards this week (as with every week). Be sure to stop bye there blogs and share some love. Also check out our Guest Designer: Christy Dillman.

Another clean and simple card with textures from two embossing folders and a new stamp that is my mom's (love the sentiment) and two punches. Thanks Leanne for a great challenge.

FABBY NEW COLOR COMBO AT PPC!!

Good Morning to everyone! I hope your weekend was good. Our was a good one although the weather truly feels like fall now. Saturday was my lucky day, my hubby covered for me and let me go crafting all day. So out came my tiger cross stitch that has been a complete work in progress for years *other fun crafts put it on the back burner*. It was also a chance to show my friend Lisa some new embossing folders and a technique. We got lightning, rain and hail. Sunday was spent starting laundry and getting my daughter card blog up and going. She is 9 but loves to craft and wants to share her creations too. Enough about me and onto...the great part of Monday :)

Picture Perfect Creations have a super fun color combo for us this week. We are on Challenge #74 this week. The color combo includes Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Pear Pizzaz and Garden Green.

I wanted to go simple for this card and well frankly I need to get some Christmas cards done. The colors did remind me of tree's and ornaments. So with that in mind out came my mom's ornament punch and an ornament stamp to help create the look of my Christmas card.

The inspiration for the layout of my card came from this wonderful sketch. Each week they come up with something amazing at Clean & Simple. I will also being sharing my card with Make It Monday - Anything Goes.

So come and show us what these colors inspire in you! We love stopping bye your blog and seeing your creations each week. Each week is always so new and when you stop bye PPC, please share some love with my fellow DT's they have come up with some super yummy creations this week.

Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.
