Challenge #50 What a Day What a Day!

Good Morning to ya!!! It has been snowing and freezing here since Saturday! I awoke to a balmy -24 with a wind chill of -34 brrrr. Sorry my post is a little late...our internet has been giving us problems. This week I will be running around in a frenzy...LOL. We are leaving at the end of the week for a family vacation. The best part is it is with family friends and warmer weather. Enough of that and onto the really good stuff.

Last week was our 1st Anniversary here at Picture Perfect Creations and now this week is another week to celebrate with our 50TH color combo. Yahoooo! Congrat's Megan on a really wonderful challenge blog. It is super great to work will all of our gals and you. I had so much fun visiting everyones blogs. Your work continues to inspire me each week and I just love getting to know you through your blogs.

Last week, Megan announced that we were looking for a few new faces here at PPC....we have decided to extend the DT call for another couple weeks, so for those who have already made a submission (last week), you are good to go! For those who feel they have what it takes to be a PPC Creator, please make a card with this week's color combo and put "DT" behind your name on your link (ie: Sally-DT) Thanks!

Last week I had a prize up for our blog hop! My winner is:

Kathy Mc her comment was: Enjoying the PPC blog hop because each designer showcases different stamps and sketches plus adds their personal touch with embellishments. And it doesn't take forever to get through the hop! Love the Thought & Prayers stamp set. Think the embossing folder is called Finial Press. Thanks for your great prize offer.

Please email me your address (click here)

The sketch that I chose to go with is from Sketch Frenzy Friday, it is a new challenge blog to me and I just loved the sketch and felt that it worked really well with Megan's new colors.

Here is my card for our fabby 50th challenge hope you like it! The stamp set is from SU and it is Delight in Life!

Challenge #26 at 4 Crafty Chicks & Prize Week

Wahooo! Thank you so much to everyone who entered my challenge last week. We beat our last record with 64 entries. Again you have all blown us away with your amazing talent. It was so much fun to come to all of your blogs. So it is Thursday and boy do we have a fabulous challenge for you this week.

We are on Challenge #26 at 4 Crafty Chicks this week. Our very talented hostess-with-the-mostess this week is Lori. Her challenge to us is an INSPIRATION PICTURE (isn't this a very home picture). I had so much fun chosing colors from this picture and then it inspired to use a very cool sentiment from Verve. The fun part with an inspirational picture is you can create whatever inspires you. Thanks Lori for this wonderful challenge (it almost had too many colors for me to pick because I love them all). We have more fun for you this week. What you say? Well it is the last week of the month and that means it is a PRIZE week. So come on out and play...we love seeing your creativeness.

Here is my card! This sentiment is one of my fav's from Verve. It was a lot of fun playing with the twine and button. I thought the ribbon was a fun touch to off set the embossing folders used. I really should dig back into my stash and start using my pattern paper *sigh*.

So how lucky was I Totally Stampalicious challenge this week is to use Green, Blue and Brown. It just happened to match Lori's Inspiration picture. The DT's have some really amazing cards again this week. Love the talent. My layout for my card is again from Monday Lunchtime Sketches (Techno Stamper). Mary-Jo comes up with such awesome sketches each week, you can dress them up or down. I think this week I dressed it up a little bit. Such wonderful inspiration.

I am getting really excited, it will be a week on Friday that Lori and our families will be heading off to Florida. Warmth and sun is going to be so much fun. It mean's I need to get in gear and start packing and cleaning my house so that it is sparkling when we come back. My son's basketball team lost their 1st game, it was an amazing game 38-32. Finals start next week. Time is flying bye.

The weather is rather cool the last few days. I just want to hunker down with a good cup of hot chocolate and craft my heart out. LOL...it hasn't happened yet but a girl can dream...LOL.

Hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks see what a fabby prize Melissa has for us this month and most of all come and join us in some fun. My other crafty chicks created amazing cards this week. Stop bye their blogs and leave them some love too! We all love the comments. Their blogs are: Banking on Crafts (Leanne), Inkingly Yours (Lori) and My Paper Obsession (Melissa).

Thank you so much for stopping in! Have a wonderful day, may it contain nothing but joy :)

As a final note Picture Perfect Creations is celebrating their One year anniversary with a great challenge and a DT call. Come check us out their is still time.

Here is my card. I hope you like it. I used the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, along with the Teeny Tiny wishes both from SU. I colored them with my markers and this allowed me to use the huffing technique. The embossing folder is also from SU (sorry I don't know the name).

CHALLENGE #25 - FAIRY/ANGEL/BUTTERFLY

I love these stamps or punches they are just so beautiful and they always make me smile at the beauty whether it is make believe or real. I hope you enjoy my card! ( I'll tell you a secret I actually made two cards for this project..LOL). When I made this one it became my favorite and well my other one took a back seat this morning...LOL. Crazy I know! If I am lucky I will post my other card for you tomorrow or later in the week.

The following challenges helped me design my card! Their inspiration was amazing.

The Color Dare: Challenge #97 Marina Mist, Night of Navy and River Rock (the colors worked so good with the sketch); Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge - sketch (was amazing); Stampin Royalty Challenge #59 - mark it up (perfect for my coloring and bordering); Totally Stampalicious - use some bling, glitter or glitz on your project (I have gems and dazzling diamonds on the wings).

Happy Valentines Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! Today has been a busy day but a very good day. We finished our pizza, doing dishes and getting two out of three kids in bed. I thought I would share the card that my son and I worked on together last night. He wanted a homemade card for his girlfriend, but didn't ask to make one until 9:30 pm last night...nothing like procrastinating...LOL. It took us an hour, but we decided on a the stamps and punches. He stamped everything punched out and I embossed the girl and colored her with my copic's. Yesterday my friend Lori showed me how to use them a little more (thank you). So I tried it on this cute Bella stamp. I think it turned out pretty good, well I think?

Delightful Challenges would like us to GET PUNCHY! We used three punches, scallop circle, large label and word window punch all from Stampin Up. Crafty Creations Challenge #105 is THREE LITTLE WORDS. My son picked Happy Valentine's Day for his girlfriend. I think that the pearls added just the pop the card needed. Tristan did a really great job helping me and was very picky about what he wanted, it looks great though.

Thank you to both challenge sites. Your inspiration is just amazing! We hope you like what we designed.

Have a wonderful rest of your Valentine's Day! I am going to spend sometime with my darling husband.

Crafty Hos' and Monday Lunchtime Sketches.

Well could a girls Valentine's Day get any better! Crafty Hos' Challenge Blog are a great group of ladies. They are now offering a Winner's Badge and Top 3 Badge for challenges over 50 players. This card was picked as a Winner with their Love Them challenge last week. THank you so much! I will wear your badge with honor and pride. I am truly humbled.

When I stopped bye Techno Stamper today to see what her new sketch was for Monday Lunchtime sketches, I scrolled down to see who she had picked as her TOP 3 and was blown away to see my card. Mary Jo has amazing sketches and she has added a twist, if you want you can join in and make it a blog hop. It was so much fun this last week. Thank you Mary Jo for picking my card...I am truly humbled and will wear you badge with soooo much pride.

Thank you to both challenge sites for making an already special Valentine's Day even more special.

Be sure to check out both blogs, they truly are great and inspirational!

Specialty Challenge #4 at Picture Perfect Creations

Good Monday Morning or maybe I should say HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Thank you so much to everyone who played along with our fabby color combo this last week. You know what today is at Picture Perfect Creations right? You got it, it is another challenge but this week is our SPECIALTY CHALLENGE #4 VALENTINES - it means that your creation can be anything to do with the special "love" day and what it means to you! Don't you just love this challenge.

My mom makes over 40 Valentines Day cards for our family and they are all different. She takes a lot of time to create something unique for each of us. This year I made her and my dad a card something just for them and unique. This card reminds me of when they were younger and I would spot them giving one another a kiss out by the flower beds. You just gotta love *LOVE*.

Megan gave me the awesome idea to make a card for my parents with this challenge and then instantly I knew what stamp to use. The stamp I used is a Sarah Kay and is a little county couple. My parents loved the country so The Paper Players have this really great color combo this week of Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze & Whisper White. The sketch I chose is from Inkspirations Challenges. It is a super simple but gorgeous layout! Be sure to check out the DT's blogs they inspiration is amazing.

Here is my card! I hope you enjoy the country feel of this Valentine's Day Card.

I used Copic's and Stampin Up markers, sponge dauber, pop ups and 3 different embossing folders, word window punch.

Today, I will be hitting the store to pick up the fixin's for our homemade heart shaped pizza's we make each year. Getting my oil changed in the van and taking my card to my mom and her finished christmas present from my friend Lori's very talented dad.

Please come and join us at Picture Perfect Creations, we would love to see what you create and I love getting to know each of you through your creative blogs.

Don't forget to stop bye our DT's blogs: Megan, Melissa, Lori, Paula and Sandy! There works are sooooooo fabby this week! If you want inspiration we got it for you.

Wishing you the very best VALENTINES DAY!! May it be filled with tons of love and a ringing of laughter.

4 Crafty Chicks New Valentines Challenge

Here we are speeding at high speed to get to Thursday and poof there it is...LOL. Good Morning to you. Thank you to all our crafty players who played in Leanne's sketch challenge this last week. A huge thank you to everyone for their patience with our linking system, it should be completely fixed now...so no worries.

Our hostess at 4 Crafty Chicks this week is Melissa. We are on Challenge #24 and being as Valentines Day is Monday what else could we do but a VALENTINES challenge. Now the girls have offered up some super dooper inspiration to help start you all off. I am hoping that you will join us and show us what you got for our *heart* holiday.

Do you have a tradition for Valentines Day? In our house, we don't give cards, flowers or chocolate. We celebrate it by making homemade pizza that is in a heart shape. The size is dependant upon your age and size. We have so much fun making them and each year the kids are growing and so is the pizza they make. It is a super way to spend time as a family and gosh dang it I love them to bits and pieces.

Here is my card! This little beauty is a Whiff of Joy Stamp and she just makes me smile because of the way she is carefully holding the heart. Sadly I must admit that I got her a while ago, but wasn't able to use her until now. It sure felt good inking her up and coloring her. I embossed her and then colored her with copic's and stampin up markers. Punches were used by Stampin Up and Paper Shapers. Embossing Folders from Stampin Up and Cuttlebug. Pearls to add a pop and of course I had to use dazzling diamonds for her wings. The paper used is Kraft, Blushing Bride, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and whisper white. So this is my little bit of inspiration for you.

The challenges I am going to enter my card into are: Whiff of Joy Challenge: Theme Challenge - Love is in the air. Now this little cutie looks like she is thinking of nothing but love! Creative Belli Blog challenge this week is to use Jewelry (ie: pearls, gems, rhinestones, diamond) Pearls were used at my jewelry. My awesome color combo for this card comes from colorQ kraft, pretty in pink, pink pirouette, blushing bride and whisper white. Thanks girls, the blushing Bride was a bit of a challenge but I managed to make it work. My fabulous sketch comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches (I turned it, but other wise tried to kept it the same). All of these challenge blogs have amazing inspirations from their DT's be sure to hop on over and see their work. ** I have been invited to a new challenge blog called SweetStamps Blog. It is their first challenge ever and they are asking for Shades of Pink. Thank you so much for letting me know my card fits the challenge. I look forward to playing with you more often. Also you made my day with your wonderful comment.**

Please come and join us this week! We would love to see what kind of inspiration the word VALENTINES means to you. Be sure to pop by the other 3 chicks blogs to leave some love for them. They have blown me away with their creations this week. Melissa, Leanne and Lori!

I can't wait to stop bye your blog and get to know you some more! When you join our challenges at 4 Crafty Chicks it is so much fun. Have a wonderful Thursday and the rest of your week too!

Love You So Much!

Hey my crafting pals. How is your day going so far? Mine has been really good. The best part was having lunch with my DH. We went to Subway and shared a foot long. I made this card with some idea's from my daughter, when we were talking about Valentines day. Kaitlyn is my inspiration at times. It seems like it is always so easy for her to make a card.

Totally Stampalicious theme this week to have AT LEAST THREE HEARTS on you project! Mine has twelve, probably over done...but I was in a hearty kind of mood. Be sure to check them out...the DT's have some fabby inspiration. With Valentines Day just around the corner Crafty Hos' Challenge Blog theme this week is LOVE THEME. Be sure to stop bye their blog to see all of their wonderful creations. My last challenge is from The Paper Players them is to create A ROMANTIC CARD OF ANY STYLE. Like everyone the DT's on this challenge blog have some major inspiration happening. Be sure to check them out too.

Here is my clean and simple card! I used my daughter's heart punch again (sure glad my mom gave it to her). Might just have to get the big one from Stampin Up. The Martha Stewart scoring board was used to make my score lines, which helped make a pretty frame around the stamp LOVE you much. I might have over done it with the hearts and pearls but for some reason my card just keep calling out for each area to be filled with something.

Recipe: Stamp: Love You Much (SU); Paper: Real Red, basic black and whisper white; Ink: Versa Fine black; Accessories: Clear embossing powder, score board (MS), pearls (black, white, pink), markers (SU).

It feels so nice to be able to create and just relax. I am hoping that tonight or tomorrow my craftroom will get some of my attention. It really is a mess and is in need of some cleaning, but all I want to do it create...LOL.

I must run my Robin to vocal lessons and finish my salad up before we leave.

Thanks for stopping bye and sharing this card with me. Have an amazing night! May it be fun whatever you are doing.

Be sure to hop on over and check these blogs out. Also come join us at Picture Perfect Creations for our new color combo and 4 Crafty Chicks will have a new challenge up tomorrow.

Happy Hump Day! I am glad it is Wednesday already. It is the last day of school for my kids this week and on a selfish note I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning, at least a little bit anyway :).

My friend Leona's birthday was yesterday and I made this card for her. On Friday I had looked at Phindy's Place Challenge Blog and there challenge is one I *heart* so much. what is it you say? Well it is EMBOSSING (heat/dry or both). Thank goodness I am able to get this in just under the wire...LOL. When I stopped over to see the new colors for the week at Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo #86 gave me some yummy bright colors (crumb cake, old olive and pumpkin pie)...they reminded me of spring and I thought they were just perfect for the stamp I had picked out for Leona. Mary Jo from Techno Stamper whipped up another fantabulous sketch for us this week. It totally inspired me with the other challenges I picked to work with. Now she is doing a blog hop each week with her sketch challenges. I am going to try it out and see if I can hop with her.

Please hop on over to each blog their DT's have worked to give us some super inspiration. Thanks ladies, you all continue to inspire me each week.

So here is Leona's birthday card! It is bright and full of joy...well I guess that is my opinion...LOL. Hope you like it.

Recipe: Stamps:Because I Care (SU) and Annabelle Stamps; Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake DSP, Old Olive and Whisper White; Ink: Old olive; Accessories: dimensionals, paper piercer, pumpkin pie and kraft ribbon, twizzler EF, medium oval and scalloped oval punches, pumpkin pie and old olive markers.

It is another clean and simple card! One I hope she will like.

I don't know about you but I soooo love tree's with leaves or without. Stamping 411 has this really beautiful SKETCH! I followed the main layout (although it is turned), but where the sentiment is supposed to be I put it on a part of a Top Note. I would like to try using this stamp again as well as this layout. Thanks everyone for the wonderful inspirations!

Here is my card:

Recipe: Stamps: Northwood Rubber Stamps and Paper: Kraft, Certainly Celery, Concord Grape and Whisper White; Ink: Concord Grape and Versa Fine (Black); Accessories: dazzling diamonds, glue pen, dimensionals, TOP NOTE, Swiss Dots embossing folder, concord grape and close to coco felt markers.

I really enjoyed seeing everyones cards and will be stopping bye to leave comments for last Mondays color combo! It is very exciting to see how each of us is inspired bye the color combo's. Thanks Megan for challenging us through colors.

We had a good weekend but busy. I wasn't quite feeling myself! We had weird weather this weekend +4 Friday and yesterday was above 0, then dropping very quickly to below zero after having rain and then snow. Sunday was freezing -18. I just could not get warm, so at one point back to bed I went and read a book to warm up. Yes, a nap just might have been taken...LOL. Then it was off to go food shopping before supper. So if anyone finds my energy genie can you send her back to me...I need her so bad...LOL.

Can't believe it is Monday already, but for my kids this is one out of three days they go to school this week. They are so excited it is funny to see. Today requires some running around, but I do need to make a birthday card for a wonderful friend for Tuesday! What are your plans today?

Please come and join us at Picture Perfect Creations this week, we would love to have you and your creations.

Get Sketchy at 4 Crafty Chicks!!

So how has your week been going? Mine has been crazy so far. Tristan's Basketball team won their 3rd game 74-21 last night and Robin had a really great vocal lesson. This morning I woke up to it being so windy and the snow in our back yard is covered in nothing but spruce needles and branches that have fallen from the wind. So when I came down stairs this morning, it was directly to the computer and to my surprise I realized that my post didn't schedule last night and so it wasn't on here . Panic hit so I went to publish it and on my new lap top hit a button don't know which one and delete the whole thing *sigh*....LOL. I am trying to laugh because it could make me cry right now...*sigh*. So here is attempt number #2. The first one sounded way better *giggle*.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to the ladies who played in Lori's color and prize challenge last week. Your cards are really beautiful.

So this week at 4 Crafty Chicks we are on CHALLENGE #23. LEANNE our rockin host this week designed this awesome fabby SKETCH for us to create with. I love it and am going to make another with it. Leanne thank you so much for your awesome inspiration this week.

So with the perfect sketch this week, a perfect color combo is in order. I saw the colors at Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo's and knew instantly what cute stamp should be used. Thanks Samantha and girls for the great inspiration.

I was going to use buttons like in the sketch but when I was talking to Lori she told me that Totally Stampalicious has a really fun challenge this week of "Hello for no special reason" kind of card. No kidding, I need a card like this and have been procastinating (Even though I don't own any stamps that say hello or just because, I found the perfect one for me). Now I don't have a reason, it can go in the mail. Be sure to check out the fabby inspirations they have there too. The Paper Players challenge is ANYTHING GOES and BLOG HOP. I just want to play because I have missed the last few. Thanks ladies for another great challenge and will be blog hopping soon (love blog hops).

HERE IS MY CARD:

Recipe: Stamps: CC Designs and Verve; Paper: Old Olive, Daffoldil Delight, Marina Mist, whisper white and daffodil delight dsp; Ink: Vera Fine Black and Old Olive; Accessories: paper peircer, dimensionals, pearls, copics, SU markers, old olive ribbon, small & medium oval punches (SU), spellbinders scalloped and circle, Swiss Dots EF.

It seems that my cards have been really basic and kind of simple lately. I am not sure why, but I hope you like them anyway. My other crafty chicks have some really amazing cards this week please hop on over to their blogs and check them out and even share some love.

Lori - Inkingly Yours
Leanne - Banking On Crafts
Melissa - My Paper Obsessions

So grab a cup of java or like me a hot chocolate, put on some music if you like creating like that and come craft with us this week at 4 Crafty Chicks. We look forward to coming too see you and your creations.

Thanks for stopping bye and HAVE A FANTASTIC THURSDAY!!!
