Thank You to Constable Lepine

Last night my son Robin was very nervous about today. He came down stairs last night and asked me if I could make Constable Lepine a card so he could say thank you to his D.A.R.E instructor. Today was his D.A.R.E graduation. I made the card in less than 40 min. which is very fast for me.

Robin asked for specific colors RED and BLACK that way it would match R.C.M.P uniform. It was nice to get the thumbs up from my son. He told me the card was perfect for Constable Lepine. Congratulations Robin on a great day and all you learned from this class.

I am going to enter this card in for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. This week the challenge was to use your punches.

I just love these two sets of stamps the horse (SU) and the tree's (SU) I thought would be perfect for this occassion. The Thanks is a Verve stamp and the saying inside the card is a Rub-on. The paper is basic black, real red, whsiper white and dsp all from SU. My horses and trees are embossed the ink was black versa fine and the embossing powder was clear. The ribbon is white satin also SU. The Top Note and circle punches were also used.

It is raining here and it is needed. It sure is nice to here that sound. My boys have a soccer game tonight, sooooooo hot chocolate will be in order.

Oh and don't forget to pop over to Picture Perfect Creations and try the new color combo challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping bye...have a wonderful day!!

A Little Crushed Curry - PPC - #10

Well Good Morning to you all!!! This morning has come very early for me. I am babysitting Ty and Taylor this morning and after school, but will be missing my other little man Ethan today. He is going to spend the day with his dad. Today will be filled with getting my laundry completed, and some of the rooms cleaned in my house, then homework, supper and my boys first soccer game.

What can I say yesterday made me smile. I went stampin with my mom and all the really great ladies at our club. It is sure nice that when you aren't feeling well that they are able to make you smile and laugh. Thanks ladies for the good time and I enjoyed meeting Thea, Paige and Madison.

Picture Perfect Creations has challenge #10 today. Hope you are ready to have some fun this week with our new challenge. I really called this one a challenge (for me). I stuggled a little bit on where to fit the Bordering Blue, but I think I finally worked it out. There isn't much...LOL, but it is there. I guess I was in the mood for coloring and huffing so that is what did with one of my favorite tree's.

Here is my card for challenge #10

The base of my card is the certainly celery, real red, crushed curry, bordering blue, real red and whisper white. The button I used is also a certainly celery color, but doesn't show well. On the tree the leaves are real red, crushed curry and certainly celery. I do apologize for my picture not being too clear. For some reason I was getting a glare off of the lights. If I was to change one thing on the card, I would stampin the words in bordering blue or real red to make them stand out a little more. I have been itching to use my TOP Note and I used it three times...WAHOOO! All and all I am really happy with my card and with my bow.

Please hop on over to check out the other PPC Creators Works of Art. I just love what they have done this week!

My Stampin Card for This Month

Today, was a busy day! We spent 4 hours outside measuring, moving very heavy goal posts, painting lines and freezing. The wind was cold today, but it could have always been worse. We worked with some really great people, that didn't spend the whole time but were there for a couple of hours. When we got home I made lunch for my hubby, took my kids to the bottle depot and then headed to our church where their craft day was going on. Rob didn't mind me going for 2 hours, so I was able to make and complete the cutting of my card for tomorrow for my awesome stampin group.

Lori helped me out by showing me this card from Dawns Stamping Thoughts. Thanks Dawn this card was perfect. I didn't have the same stamp she used so I used the flower from Bloomin' Beautiful and the sentiment from Wreath of Roses. Dawn's colors were white and pink, but I decided to added the chocolate chip into the mix. Instead of a solid white base I made it chocolate chip. I also embossed half of the white background with the D'vine Swirl and the vase I embossed with the Swiss Dots. Dawn Stamped her flower in two separate colors, but I couldn't do that being as it was all one, so I colored the stem with certainly celery and the flower with pretty in pink. I haven't decided yet, but I will probably put a little butterfly on the card. I hope the ladies will like this card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great night. I am doing laundry and I still have to make a wish list for tomorrow and the kids want me to watch a movie with them. I hope you have a super dooper evening.

I am Still Here!!

Hello my fellow crafting PEEPS! I just wanted you to know that I am still here and kicking. I have had really bad migranes this week and have not been able to touch my crafting. For that I am sorry. I still have a headache today, but I it isn't as bad as the last few days. I have to go out and do my soccer volunteering today. It is line and field prep. It is very chilly here today...it dropped to below zero last night...brrrrr. Bring back the sun...LOL. Anyway tonight I have to prep my card for my card club, nothing like the last mintue *sigh*. I hope to get that done with a bunch of laundry tonight. I hope to see all of your crafts soon, I am sure you have all been crafting up a storm.

Thanks for stopping in to see me, even though I haven't put anything on this week. Your comments as always are wonderful.

Thank you to Sandy for letting me know that I was the "Cream in their Cup" over at The Play Date Cafe and. Thank you also to all of the girls over at The Playdate Cafe who choose my card for this honor. I truly had a blast with the colors and think I will make more cards with the colors. Thanks for all of the comments they sure made my day a brighter.

I am off to switch laundry and then off to work outside with my pounding head and my super great hubby.

Have a great day and hope to have something on here tonight for you. You are all great and thanks for the support!

A Warm Spring Day - PPC #9

Hello everyone! I don't know about you but our weekend was very busy, but oh boy did I love the sun and warm weather. Yesterday we had my daughters birthday party. The project I thought I would do was get the kids to make a Mother's Day or a Father's Day Card. With the help of my good friend Lori who convinced me that too many stamp choices for the kids would lead to a headache, we paired it down to a little designer paper and flowers (from my mom), and to making it a simple design and only 3 small layers with specific stamps. It worked wonderfully! :) Less was more in this case...LOL. So thank you to my mom and Lori for your help, I couldn't have done it without you!

What a FABBY color combo this week at the Picture Perfect Creations. When I pulled out the colors and put them together I just knew I had to use this Greeting Farms stamp. The colors reminded me of warm weather, the hot sun and oh the blue water....I was thinking of our trip to Mexico a few years ago...tons of laughter and relaxation. *Sigh* WE would love to go back...maybe some day :). My sketch was found over at Friday Sketchers and it was designed by Beatrix (Sketch #97). Thanks Beatrix for a wonderful sketch...it just pulled this card together.

Here is my card...isn't she adorable...I think she looks like she is thinking beach day...

Today is another busy day, my boys are starting soccer, babysitting and oh the dreaded laundry, that piled up while I was painting. I will be painting more this week, so I really need to work hard to get something accomplished today...one good thing is a card has been made. Maybe I will be lucky to make one more tonight before I go to bed...oh I will keep hoping.
Have a super super day. Thanks for stopping in to check out my blog.

Gotta Love Fairies!

Good very early morning...I was hoping to get this on before it became Sunday, but we had so many exciting things going on today, that I started in the morning and finished it just before midnight...LOL. What a beautiful day... it was plus 22 here and it is still warm and the sunny was awesome. This morning my daughter and I hit the craft room just like we did last night. Kaitlyn made her friend a very nice birthday card with the same stamp I used tonight. I meant to take a picture but with all of the excitement, I put it in the envelope and licked shut....LOL. Kailtyn's card was a great creation.

Tomorrow is my daughters birthday party. I am going to make a card with around 10 kids. I hope it all goes ok and thank goodness I have my other crafting buddies here for support Lori and my mom.

Okay so onto my project today. I found 4 challenges that my card would fit into today.

1. KL Stampin N Scrappin Blog #26 - is to BLING IT ON!! (I really love bling and glitter :)
2. Our Creative Corner - is BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES ( Love those too can't wait to see some this spring)
3. Just Us Girls Challenge Week 29 - is the lovely pastel colors down below.
4. Crazy 4 Challenges - This week is a wonderful sketch also down below.

Isn't she cute? It is a Kraftin Kimmies Fairy and I just love her. I have been wanting to get her inky for a while now and my daughter helped me out. Yahoooooo.

The bling I used was from Dollarama, Divine Swirl, SU markers, Versa Fine ink, dimensionals, SU rub-on, dsp paper, lavendar lace, certainly celery, barely bananna, pretty in pink, dazzling diamonds. Kraftin' Kimmie Fairy Stamp.
Well I am going to head to bed now, because is morning is already here and the rest will come way to early. I hope to see you on here tomorrow night. If I don't have a super crafting Sunday.

Live, Love , Laugh

I finally got back into my craftroom tonight. I have been so sore from painting that my wrists would not work for me...LOL. Earlier today instead of crafting I went shopping with my friend Lisa. We haven't done that forever, then off to rythmic gymnastics I went, and back home to put the finishing touches on the walls and baseboards. Kaitlyn and I then decided it was time to get some of our Mojo onto paper.

Tonight I thought I would pull out my Rub-Ons that have been sitting in the drawer for FOREVER...they were probably crying out "use me, use me"...LOL. It is another FABBY ADDICTION of mine *wink*. My challenges tonight were from The Play Date Cafe #25 and Sweet Sunday Sketch #64 by Karen was just awesome.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week was to use Black, White and a little bit of orange. I was so stoked to try this because I just love Black and White with Red, blue, yellow...oh really with tons of colors and couldn't wait to try it with orange. Guess what???? I LOVED IT!!! Thank you Sarah! Hope you feel better soon Julie!

Karen did an amazing job of this sketch and I already new what I wanted to use to try it. It is a clean and simple card...but I hope it you like it. My last card was so, so, but I just love the bold of this card.
Here we go.....

I didn't have enough black pearls or gems to put on here so I used black diamond stickles. You can't see the glitter on them but it is there. An interesting update....I missed Karen's challenge to enter...LOL. But I still had fun completing the sketch...silly me.
Recipe: Rub-on's (SU and Kaiser Craft); Paper: Only Orange, whisper White and Black; Accessories: circle punches, scalloped circle punch, swiss dots and the scalloped trim border punch, black Diamond Stickles, dimensionals and paper piercing.
Wishing you a great day tomorrow and thanks for stopping in.

A NEW LOOK!

Here are some pictures of my basement (what a great day with color). Only part of it is painted, we are waiting for the furniture to come before we finish painting the rest. Today I am finishing the last baseboard and tomorrow, we are doing touch ups. I was lucky enough to actually get the color of blue from the Stampin' Up Card stock Bashful Blue and the brown is a Cougar Brown (Benjamin Moore Paints). It has white trim. What a different look from the white undercoat that has only ever been put on. It was a great day yesterday painting with my mom, dad and husband. I can't wait to finish the rest of the basement. I know some of the pictures aren't as clear as they could be but that is my camera. Also because the walls are still drying I have not put everything back in place so their is a bit of clutter. I love it and I can't wait to find colors and crochet a blanket for downstairs now.

Now to finish the stair well, computer area, bathroom (another color), my craft room (a different color) and my oldest sons room and the basement will be done. Can't wait. Thanks for looking at my new comfort zone.

Happy Thursday!!!

Good morning. How has your Thursday Morning started off? Mine has started off really good.

Yesterday was an emotionally hard day for me. I had someone call and yell at me for setting up a time that conflicted with their day (for our soccer volunteer hours) and my youngest turned 8 yesterday. It is sure hard to know they are all growing up so fast, oh and on the upside of that I was able to give my daughter her present (we got here ears peirced...she loves them). I made this card yesterday for her, it was a simple card that I made hard because of my emotional upset. After I made the card I then set to work painting my basement because my new furniture is being delivered Saturday....*wink*. I must say that I really enjoyed painting with my mom and my dad filled more of our little holes. Rob came and helped finish painting the last wall with me and the base boards. I can't believe we got everything done we wanted to in one day and better yet by 11 pm! My kids were so shocked when they came home from school. It was so awesome to see the looks on their faces, now they all want the colors in their rooms...LOL. My colors are actually Bashful Blue (true paper color) and a cougar Brown (it is a little darker than close to coco) Today, however I am sore to the bones, but I LOVE why I am sore...LOL.

So on to my card I finally get to post today. The first challenge is the Color Dare, they had really awesome colors. My second challenge for this card was Stampin Royalty who wanted you to keep it simple sweety (KISS). Sure glad I found both of these challenges since my time was very limited. Hope you have a chance to pop on over and check them out.

My birthday card:
Recipe: Stamps: Garden Silhouttes (sp??) (SU) and another (SU) set; Paper: Whisper white, Tempting Turquoise, Pale Plum, Lovely Lilac; Ink: Markers: Tempting Turquoise, Pale Plum, Lovely Lilac and Garden green (?); Accessories: Pearls, dimensionals, and small, medium oval punch and scallop oval punch, tempting turquoise ribbon.

I am off to start some laundry and eat breakfast, then down to my craftroom to make a card for my son today. Wishing you all a good start to your Thursday. Thanks for stopping in and see you later.

PPCCC #7 and Paper Sundaes #12

Gooooooood Afternoon my crafting *peeps*! Yesterday left me no time for crafting so today I said "craftroom here I come". The cleaning fairy helped me clean up and then to town I went on a card. I have had these two challenges in mind for a couple of days and since I am going to a Conference with my DH for the next couple of days...I truly needed to have some peace and create something. I won't be on here for Thursday and Friday. My mom is coming to watch the kids for us and they are still on their spring break so here comes some quality time for Grandma *wink*. It is a beautiful day here, so I can't wait to go for a walk tonight when we get to the hotel. Rob has a late meeting tonight so we won't eat supper until very late...*my poor tummy*...LOL...LOL. Not really, I will have a snack to tied me over...Hee Hee. It will be a busy few days and I will be in need of my craft room when I come home...maybe Kaitlyn and I will create something together. I hope you all have a super next few days.

The two totally fabby challenges for me today are Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #7 and a sketch from Paper Sundaes challenge #12. They are awesome challenges you should check them out if you haven't already.

Here is my card...I just love this stamp set from Verve it was a christmas present and it is the first time it has been inked.

Verve stamp: Meditations

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip, AU CHOCOLAT DSP

Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Very Vanilla Ribbon, chocolate pearls, new punch from SU, Swiss Dots and D'vine Swirl cuttlebug folders, flower and dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping in and I can't wait to see what everyone does in the next couple of days. Happy Hump Day!

Happy Easter! Well what's left of it :)

What a day! Last night I told you that today was the day to relax....well apparently, I did it too well. I had a two hour nap, when I should have been crafting. This morning the kids went hunting for their easter treats and then we had our traditional breakfast hard boilded eggs with cheese sauce ( my dh loves hot crossed buns, we ate toast...LOL). My mom brought some ham rolls for supper tonight with my great, great grandma's cheese sauce and the ham rolls were hers as well. This is one of my favorite meals. The crib board was brought out and my Step-dad and I beat my mom and dh...oh what a feeling...LOL...LOL.

I couldn't go to bed without putting one on here. I told you all I would. It is simple and another mothers day card. I used the Play Date Cafe colors with the exception of using vanilla in the place of cream (I don't own any). I had some card stock already cut so this was my fastest made card...LOL. It is hard to see the embossed Leaves and branches on the Very Vanilla but it is there. The words are rub-on's from Stampin Up! Here is my clean and simple mother's day card.

I am off to bed, hope to see you on here tomorrow. Wishing you all a most fabulous Easter Day!

An Eggtra Special Day!

I hope you all had a super Good Friday! Yesterday, was a busy day for me, my dd had a birthday party and my husband was in super dooper cleaning mode. We cleaned the garage and rearranged our bedroom and completely went through everything and decluttered it. Rob said after 19-20 years why do we still have some of this stuff...it was a very emotional day for me. My brothers son Cody came and spent the day and then we visited with my brother last night, so no time for a card :((((. On the other hand my room looks fantastic :)))))))).

Today, we spent 3 hours putting up soccer nets and finding out what my job is for this year. I am co-ordinating the painting of the fields and maintence. We then took the kids to see Clash of the Titans, it was good but it was way to scary for my dd, she only saw 1/2 of it, the rest of the time hiding under my jacket. A little shopping and then home to make homemade pizza for supper. Our next project was egg painting. This is one of our favorite activities of easter. Here are our eggs this year. Robin discovered that if he put stickers on his egg and then dyed it, dried it and took the stickers off that it leaves the outline of the stickers, open for painting. Hope you all had fun too if you paint and dye your eggs.

This afghan is my second old craft I am working on to finish. (not sure why it turned the picture on it side here)

It is half finished, I accidently unravelled a whole row, while moving it (opps!). It will fit a Queen's size bed when I am done and hang over the sides. I might have to change the design in my head so it doesn't end up touching the floor. The white, black and burgandy were a present from my very good friend Lori.

It is just about time for the Easter bunny to come, so unfortunately no card for me today, but tomorrow I am taking a break and putting one on here (Even if I have to run away and hide..hee hee). We have decided to relax and not have a big meal tomorrow. My mom is bring Ham Rolls for supper and I am responsible for dessert and salad. You notice dessert comes before salad, now if only I could actually eat my meal that way *sigh*!
Sorry that their has not been a card for the last two days, but thanks for stopping in my mini novel is complete for the night...LOL. Have a very Happy Easter with tons of laughter and love.

Thursday Night Inky Delight!

After supper tonight, I went challenge hunting and found a few, that peeked my interest...LOL...not that their isn't many that don't...:). This month is my month to make a card for my stampin club...so I figured that I should get started. I know what stamp I want to use, but I just need to figure what layout and colors I want. It sure is great, you know why??? Well....it allows me to play around in my craft room creating and I must say making some sort of mess...where did the crafting, cleaning fairy go? When you find her send her my way...HELP!!! :)

The color challenge I used is from The Play Date Cafe #23, it is a wonderful inspiration challenge, with blues, white/cream. The sketch I wanted to use is from Our Creative Corner #9, I changed it a bit but the idea is the same. Both Crafty Creations Challenges #61 and Papertake Weekly Challenge have the theme of anything goes. Any theme (which girls was right up my alley this week...Hee Hee). If you have time check out these wonderful challenge sites.

Mother's Day will be here before we know it so here is my first card:

Stamps: Message for Mom (SU); Paper: Brillant Blue, Bashful Blue, Whisper White; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: Bashful Blue and White Ribbon, D'Vine Swirl embossing folder, SU Markers, pearls, large circle and large scalloped circle spellbinders, clear embossing powder, dimensionals, paper piercer.

It sure wasn't hard to make this card, because I have an amazing mom, who I am truly blessed to have in my life and who is my hero. Thanks mom for all you do, we love you!

Well that is it for me tonight...thanks for stopping bye.

Wishing you all a super Good Friday tomorrow and I hope to be back on here creating with you all!!!

Getting Inky on a Thursday Afternoon!

Good afternoon, my kids are home from school and now they are on Easter Holidays. I haven't inked up any stamps for a week and boy that has been to long. To many birthday in our house that are so close together and my headaches for the last three days have not help. Maybe tomorrow I won't get one...hope so.

I must start off with a huge THANK YOU from last week. Megan from over at Picture Perfect Creations gave me the Runner-Up Badge for my card on Challenge #4. What an honor, sorry I didn't put it on here earlier, but I truly did a happy dance and appreciate it a ton.

My first challenge this week was to complete the color challenge for Picture Perfect Creations. I couldn't wait to due challenge #6, it was screaming a boy card for me and it just so happens my dd has a friends birthday tomorrow. Sorry, Megan I added a little bit of brown, hope that is alright!

Here is my card:
Recipe:
Stamps: Little Paper Shop (mud and monster truck), Stampin Up (It's your birthday); Paper: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla, Ink: Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, chocolate chip brads, embossing folder, Large and small labels (spellbinders), scissors, dimensionals.

Hope you are having a great day and that this is an okay boys card (I had to many idea's in there, they are screaming to come out...LOL). A final reminder that Megan's search for a DT is coming to an end on April 4 (10pm EST), so hop on over to Picture Perfect Creations and check it out!

I would love to make another card that is buzzing around in my head...see you later. Until then keep smiling...you know why...long weekend! Doesn't that say everything...Yahooooooooooooo!!!
